In the Pink



Another in the make ahead baby quilt project. The inspiration for this quilt is left over strips from the Pink Daydreams quilt. The bars are the leftover strips from Pink Daydreams with another solid bright pink. This quilt somehow reminds me of Aunt Linda's wedding where the bridesmaids wore shades of pink with contrasting sashes.

Frances and Korbin arrived for a visit just before I started quilting this one. Frances provided valuable design suggestions for the quilting as well helping do it. Their visit was June 21 to July 11, 2012.

Also, during her visit, Frances organized my office closet and fabric stash. I'll add some pictures of it. I wish it had stayed organized! Frances is amazing!

Keith came to visit July 18 to 31. During his visit he helped us take pictures of some of the completed quilts. These photo shoots are often ordeals with camera issues, arguments about the best lighting, and so forth. Here are two pictures of Spencer that just about sum up our picture taking events:

Backing: Flannel.
Batting: 100% Polyester
Binding: Pink flannel used for the bars in the quilt.
