Froggy in the Middle

We went to the fabric store and bought some printed flannels for the donation baby quilt project. This one Mother used the stylized frogs to make a cute border around a green dotted print flannel and a plain green flannel.

Froggy in the Middle was a hide and seek game we played with Grandma Short when we were tadpoles.

"Froggy in the middle
And we can't get him out
Take a little stick
And stir him all about
Then kick him out, kick him out, kick him out
Go find Froggy"

The kick him out part always seemed a bit violent and uncalled for to me. I could never figure out why poor Froggy who was always passive in the middle got such rough treatment. Kids! Go figure! But finding him was always fun.
