This project accomplished a PIGS in my closet and met the goal of donating a neonatal quilt. It actually exceeded the goal by making 3 neonatal quilts to donate. I named the quilts after the “Planet of the Apes” movies. Mine are called “Planet of the Sock Monkeys”. Which is your favorite quilt in this series? My favorite is the “churn dash” one.

- Quilting: Quilted in a meandering loose stipple. Free form quilting. 2 bobbins. Used Omni 100% polyester thread. Named "Neon Red". Quilting by Patty.
- Backing: Black background with sock monkeys in white space suits from Fabric.com. Very cute!
- Batting: 80% cotton/20% polyester batting from Winline.
- Binding: Red tonal print cotton from my inventory.
- Pattern: Traditional block from my perpetual quilting calendar, called “Underground Railroad”.
