Mother planned the blocks, Sally sewed them together, I quilted it, and Spencer QC’d it. It was a real family project! The top was completed last year and rested waiting to be pressed. Sally finally braved the ironing board and iron and I quilted it. The pattern was adapted from a table runner Sally saw in a magazine. The blocks were made bigger for a bed quilt. It’s an adaption of the traditional “Court House Steps” pattern. It’s a totally scrap quilt. I couldn’t face another horizontal lines quilting pattern, so I made loop-de-loops.

- Quilting: Quilted in medium to large loop-de-loops. Used dark, dull green 100% polyester thread (Omni from Superior Threads-named "Palm Tree"). 6 bobbins. Quilting by Patty.
- Backing: Tan print from a Connecting Threads wide backing sale
- Batting: 80% cotton/20% polyester bleached, Comfort Blend by Winline.
- Binding: Green tonal print from Patty’s stash.
