Aunt Joyce is making quilts for her great grandchildren. She has 26 going on 27 of them! I agreed to quilt and bind some of them.
These 2 quilts were made with a digitally printed panel and wide borders. The panel really pops and the borders coordinate beautifully. The backs she sent were a bit too small, so I’ll use those backs for 2 more quilts.
Dinosaur Quilt 1
- 64” x 74" single bed size
- Quilted in a wavy vertical lines with occasional loop-de-loops in the borders. Used light tan thread “Cream” Omni brand 100% polyester from Superior Threads. Free form quilting. 5 bobbins. Quilting by Patty.
- Backing: Light blue cotton flannel from a JoAnn’s sale.
- Batting: 100% polyester. Quilter’s Dream low loft.
- Binding: Medium brown fabric from Aunt Joyce, cut on the bias, French fold.
- Pattern: Panel with coordinating borders.
- Piecing by Aunt Joyce
- Pinned into frame June 27, 2023. Quilting on long arm quilter June 28-30, 2023. (Patty).
