Quilt a Top for the Guild

In January I volunteered to quilt a top for the guild. Someone donated the top and I finished the quilt to be donated to Shelter Network. The top is a beauty and i can’t believe someone gave it away. It’s red, white, and blue with a blue piano key border. Simply gorgeous! I also did the binding.
  • 75" x 90" Twin bed size
  • Quilting: Quilted in a meandering spiral and loose stipple. Tighter quilting in the border. Used off-white 100% polyester thread (Omni from Superior Threads-named "Pearl White"). Free form quilting. 9 bobbins. Quilting by Patty.
  • Backing: Red,white, gray, and black striped fabric from the guild.
  • Batting: 100% cotton from the guild
  • Binding:  Dark blue solid cotton from my inventory.
  • Pinned into frame February 22, 2019. Quilting on long arm quilter March 4-6, 2019. (Patty).
  • Binding by Patty.
  • QC by Patty. Like Boeing and the 737 MAX, this quilt is self-certified. I did the self QC to keep the dog off.
